I built GlucoMatch because I needed it myself.

I've lived with type 1 diabetes since 2009. And every meal brings the same question: how many carbs is this? The schnitzel at a restaurant, a slice of cake at a friend's, takeout in the evening – there's no package, the tables only help so much, and in the end you guess anyway.

What bothered me most: you misjudge a meal, notice it three hours later in your blood sugar – and next time it's forgotten again. That's where GlucoMatch comes in: take a photo, get a carb estimate, and three hours later quickly confirm whether it was right. That way the app remembers what you've learned.

There's no corporation behind GlucoMatch, just someone who measures, injects and counts every day. I use the app daily myself and keep improving it with feedback from the community.
